Hello Lovely Ladies!

I have a big question for you, and I would encourage you to think long and hard before answering.   The question is…

Are You Really Ready to Lose Weight?

Have you ever started a weight loss program in the past, only to stop before completing it? You can’t quite put your finger on why you couldn’t finish; you just seemed to lose your motivation.

Well, there may be a very realistic reason why you couldn’t succeed at your weight loss program at that time. It may not really be your fault. Did you ever consider that it wasn’t the right timing? You may not have been ready to complete your weight loss program and to maintain the changes needed to lose weight and maintain successful weight loss.

Timing is everything, even when starting a weight loss program. As I talk and consult with women who want to lose weight, it has become quite apparent that they must be ready to, not only lose weight, but to make changes to their lifestyle to maintain a healthy weight.

This quiz below will help you to determine, compared to previous attempts, whether or not you are motivated enough at this time to be successful at weight loss (my definition of successful weight loss is losing the weight AND keeping it off).

No one else will see your answers to this quiz, so please be honest with yourself. Pay close attention to the results panel at the bottom.

As always, if you have any questions or need to talk, please feel free to contact me directly. And, if you are ready, then we really should talk.

Interpreting Your Score:

Count only the “Yes” answers and add them together for a score of 0 – 10.

0 – 3: Comfy-Cozy

This may not be the best time for you to start a weight loss program. Lifestyle challenges and lack of motivation may be a hindrance. However, it may helpful to begin making some small changes to better prepare yourself for your new weight loss/weight management program. Put it on the calendar and make a promise to yourself that you will begin by that date (I suggest you not schedule it for more than a year away).

4 – 7: Frustrated Dieter

You are uncomfortable with your current weight and health and have tried dieting in the past. But, it has been hard to make a commitment to lifestyle change in favor of healthy weight. You may be sitting on the fence, not quite ready. However, this may be your “wake up call” to pick a side—the healthy side and start your journey toward your future figure. Contact me if you want some more input regarding whether the time is right for you or if some more work needs to be done in order for you to be “truly ready”.

8 – 10: Ready, set, GO

The path is clear. You are realistically and honestly dealing with the behaviors that have previously held you back from achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. You have already made the mental decision to lose weight. Now you can decide how to safely and effectively lose weight and keep it off. Contact me so we can talk about the best way to get you started.

    Sheril,
I logged onto your website and took the readiness quiz. When I scored a 4, I logged off! A few days later, I went back to the website and poured through the various posts and articles. As I did this, I found myself freshly motivated to make changes in my life. Taking the quiz again, I scored a 9!! Keep the articles coming, my friend.
